4/1/12 Six Sentence Sunday

This Sunday continues with an excerpt from Bonded in Exile. Hope you all are enjoying it!

Emily’s breath hitched in her throat; she could practically feel Silas probing her emotions, his dark violet eyes studying her like a bug under glass. She tried to pull her walls up, wanting some time alone to sort out everything Riley had said. Lord help her, it felt like her whole world had just caved in for the second time this week.

“What’s going on, Emily? You’re shutting me out, why?”

“I’m not,” she whispered, a pathetic denial neither one of them was buying.

  4. Awww. I’m glad that she shut him out (even if I do like him). It sounds like things are a little raw right now. It is good that she is trying to protect herself a little after her world’s caved in. 🙂
