Six Sentence Sunday

Happy New Year! I’m starting it off with a bang continuing the battle between Riley and Silas from Bonded in Exile. Thanks for reading and leaving your comments 🙂

Emily reached out and grabbed the back of a chair, using it pull herself onto her feet. What she saw as she staggered upright, nearly made her heart stop; her hand flew to her mouth, muffling her scream. Riley threw a punch as Silas ducked and lunged forward, driving his shoulder into Riley, sending him crashing into the pile of stacked firewood. Unfazed by the blow, Riley countered with a bone cracking knee to the ribs that knocked Silas off him. He stumbled back a step and with the tenacity of a Pitbull, fangs bared, he lunged for Riley again. His hands circled Riley’s throat in a white-knuckled grip, thumbs wedged under his chin, cranking his head so far back, Emily thought his neck would surely snap.

That’s one hell of a fight scene you’ve written! Great descriptions 🙂 And I hope Silas wins. Riley’s an ass.
