Emily has just discovered that her abductor is a fallen angel.
“Worried about my eternally-ever-after are you? Gee, that’s sweet,but trust me, my use of profanity is the least of my worries.” He let out a sardonic snort of laughter and growled, “Fuck, what I did to you in that bed last night is gonna have me sayin’ Hail Mary’s for the next month.”
Emily gasped, her cheeks flushed, which was the most becoming color on her. Silas knew he’d just pissed her off good, and hadn’t been the intent all along? He was done discussing his shit with her–bloodbonds were serious business, intentional or otherwise.

Yep, I’m agreeing with Jessica — Jessica. Definitely unheavenly behavior. It also reminds me of Saturday afternoons in Confession. . . But I’d always get one Our Father and three Hail Marys penance. lol
