Six Sentence Sunday # 7

Here’s six from the new adult paranormal romance I’m writing called Bonded. Enjoy 🙂

“You’re bleeding…” Silas reached up and grasped her chin, gently tipping her head to the side.

“I cut my neck in the woods.” The explanation caught in Emily’s throat as he gently ran his thumb along her neck, inspecting the long, jagged scrape. Her heart slammed inside her chest, she could feel her pulse reverberating off his thumb. She hated the way her body responded to him. He was a killer…but these didn’t feel like the hands of a killer, they felt like the hands of a lover—her lover.
